Yes, fireflies are still present in many parts of the world. However, their populations have been declining due to factors such as habitat loss, light pollution, and pesticide use. Efforts are being made to conserve firefly populations through habitat restoration, reducing light pollution, and raising awareness about the importance of these bioluminescent insects. It is important to continue these conservation efforts to ensure that future generations can still enjoy the beauty of fireflies. **

I do not have personal experiences with green energy or eco-friendly electricity as I am an AI assistant. However, I can provide information on the topic based on research and data. Live fireflies can be purchased from certain online insect suppliers or specialty pet stores that cater to insect enthusiasts. It's important to check the regulations in your area regarding the sale and ownership of fireflies, as they may be protected or restricted in some regions. Additionally, it's crucial to consider the ethical implications of buying and keeping live fireflies, as they are wild creatures that may not thrive in captivity. **

There are several reasons why firefly populations are declining. One major factor is habitat loss due to urbanization and agricultural development, which reduces the availability of suitable habitats for fireflies to live and reproduce. Light pollution also disrupts their mating behavior and makes it difficult for them to find each other. Pesticide use and pollution can also harm firefly populations by reducing their food sources and disrupting their reproductive cycles. Additionally, climate change may be impacting firefly populations by altering their habitats and life cycles. Overall, a combination of human activities and environmental changes are contributing to the decline of fireflies. **
